Flower Highlight-Nerine Lily and Gloriosa Lily

Nerine lily a.k.a. Guernsey lily, has 6 to 12 lily-like blossoms at the top of a leafless stem 12 to 18 inches long. Available in red, pinks and white. Popular in contemporary design for its wonderful vertical form and in mixed hand-tie bouquets for its lively character. Its shape looks like a firework, when incorporated into a bouquet it looks like the bouquet is bursting to life. Same charactersitics are found in the gloriosa lily. The gloriosa lily is a very beautiful and wonderfully unusual blossom with long curled petals that reflex 180 degrees. Bright crimson petals with white to gold margins and throats. The Gloriosa plant is a climbing vine and a member of the lily family.
